The center can handle local club meetings, as well as large public gatherings and the return of residents after storm evacuations. The structure has emergency power to run the entire facility. This project was funded by the Louisiana Recovery Authority. The main arena space is 22,500 square feet and can accommodate high school regulation volleyball and basketball with seating for 1,100 people. In a cross court arrangement there are two regulation volleyball courts with seating for 700 people. The main arena also has a 4,350 square feet performance platform area that can accommodate high school graduation and performance type functions with a seating capacity in the main arena of 1,800 people. The reception hall is a total of 7,000 square feet of meeting space with bars and covered patio courtyards. This hall can be used as a single space to accommodate 700 people. It can also be divided into two spaces with separate facilities for each room. A 900 square feet full service catering kitchen is provided adjacent to the reception area and main arena.
