Carencro Roadway & Drainage Improvements

The project consists of the widening of Hector Connely Road, approximately 800 feet, for a dedicated right turn in a roundabout and the widening of I-49 Frontage Road from two lanes to three lanes, approximately 2,600 feet, to provide left turns for retail developments along this stretch of highway and the reconstruction of portions of both Sonnier Road, approximately 800 feet and Wallace Broussard Road, approximately 100 feet. The reconstruction of Sonnier and Wallace Broussard roads is necessary to upgrade these roadways to heavy duty pavement sections so that future truck traffic will not damage them. The roadway sections include both concrete and asphalt sections with varying base requirements from lime treatment with stone to soil cement treatment. The project also consists of replacing and upgrading the drainage along I-49 Frontage Road to account for the new retail development within this area.
