Upon completing CAD school and eager to enter the workforce, Ben joined DDG in 2000. It did not take him long to realize that the sky was limit when it came to employee opportunities at DDG. With the full support of leadership, Ben went back to college in 2002 while working full time with DDG and raising a family at home. In 2007, Ben was a key component of DDG’s expansion into the Houston market, where he worked directly for the firm’s president, Matthew Newchurch. In 2011, Ben received his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Houston and eventually became the Business Unit Leader for that office, leading 11 DDG employees.
Ben later moved back to Thibodaux to be closer to the friends and family he grew up with, and in 2016 he became a Senior Associate with the firm. Under his leadership role, Ben has been tasked with the oversight of several national client programs throughout the Gulf Coast and Greater Houston area allowing him to participate in the overall project cycle from conceptual planning to re-zoning, annexation, plan production, and construction observation and inspection. With this experience, Ben has a significant role in the company’s Quality Control and Quality Assurance process ensuring that each project is accurate and precise prior to leaving the office.
