Thomas H. Buckel, PE

Vice President of Engineering

Thomas Buckel joined DDG in 2003 with the commitment from management he would be given the opportunity to be an owner and a difference maker in DDG’s growth plan.  As a 28 year old professional in 2005, Tommy led DDG to a new location in Covington, LA.  Today, under Tommy’s leadership, DDG’s Covington office has nearly 20 employees and represents a significant percentage of DDG’s annual revenue.

He has practiced civil engineering for over two decades throughout the southeast on projects ranging from large site developments, commercial/retail, program management, master planning, and coastal and public infrastructure. In addition to his technical day to day functions, Tommy has assisted clients with scope creation, identifying funding sources and overall project execution. What makes Tommy a game changer is his ability to focus all efforts on the client, their project, and the clients’ desired goals. His commitment to his profession and client success is unmatched by his responsiveness and attention to detail. It is the intangibles displayed in going the extra mile which sets him apart, providing repeat and new opportunities from existing and perspective clients. This success has led Tommy to becoming a Principal-in-Charge and the firm’s Vice President of Engineering.
