Renewable Energy Group

DDG has provided preliminary engineering services inclusive of cost estimates and containment analyses to support the FEL-1, FEL-2, and FEL-3 designs for a new tank farm in support of REG’s expansion project. DDG has also procured due diligence and summarized the findings of wetlands and cultural resources reports to assist REG in evaluating project feasibility.

DDG was tasked with the preparation and submittal of the USACE and Levee approvals and permits inclusive of Section 404 (wetlands), Section 408 (levee modifications), Section 10 (work in the river), and levee crossing letters of no objection. DDG consulted and advised REG and a team of consultants including a marine consultant, EPC, and others to develop a cohesive permit package. DDG continues to provide consulting support for construction and permitting and evolves recommendations as the project scope and external consultant team grows and changes. We successfully assisted the REG team in making an early USACE Completed Works submittal to meet an internal milestone to the satisfaction of the REG board. Additionally, DDG is providing full design services for Renewable Energy Group’s new administration building and warehouse located in Geismar, LA. These services include architecture, civil and structural engineering, and topographic surveying. At DDG’s recommendation, REG engaged a contractor to deliver these buildings in a design-assist process to accommodate a very tight schedule. DDG’s services will continue through permitting and construction.
