DEPCOM Power Port Allen Solar Facility

DDG is proud to work with DEPCOM Power as they build one of the largest solar facilities in Louisiana!  The 560 acre site is located in Port Allen and will include 197,000 solar panels. DDG’s survey team used UAV derived photogrammetry to create a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) for the site and provided construction staking and preliminary & final elevation certificates for the project which broke ground in August 2019. DDG’s civil team prepared construction plans and details for the layout of the interior access roads, fencing, and array fields, as well as preparing LA DOTD access request application drawings for connections to LA Hwy. 76. DDG’s water resources team provided hydrology and hydraulic design support for pre-development and post-development site analysis and prepared a flood plain permit application to West Baton Rouge Parish on behalf of the client.
