This project is a visionary master plan for a $10 million park with construction documents and administration for an initial $600,000 project utilizing local, state and federal funding. The development of the 62-acre park master plan was to serve as a stimulus to economic viability of northern Tangipahoa Parish and to provide the youth a place to play. The long-range plan calls for a future community center, skate park, RV camping, nature center, maintenance facility, playground and spray ground, and football/soccer fields. The recently completed phase I construction in large part involved earth moving and basic infrastructure, but included three baseball/softball fields, a restroom, access and parking, and walkways on the site. DDG was able to strategically work with the town in securing state and federal funding to help pay for 95% of the funding.
