DDG has built a strong reputation for delivering comprehensive professional design services across a range of mission-critical data center projects. Our portfolio includes the Reynolds & Reynolds data center, a 34,412-square-foot facility designed with phased data halls, secure generator and chiller zones, and essential operational spaces such as UPS/Battery/Switchgear rooms, trace rooms, staging areas, offices, and a loading dock. DDG partnered with Kirksey Architecture to provide civil engineering, landscape architecture, and construction support, ensuring the facility meets the operational demands of Reynolds & Reynolds.

In another major engagement, DDG led the civil engineering efforts for Digital Realty Trust’s transformation of a 38-acre retail center into a high-performance data center campus. Our Civil Engineering team and our Landscape Architecture team collaborated to design this complex redevelopment. Our scope included designing secure access points, guest parking, and perimeter fencing, followed by full civil support for two new ground-up data centers and the adaptive reuse of existing retail spaces. DDG’s coordination with multiple stakeholders and its local presence enabled real-time responsiveness to permitting and construction challenges.

Additionally, DDG provided full civil engineering services for Methodist Hospital’s 25,000-square-foot data center adjacent to its Holly Hall facility. The seven-acre site required not only standard infrastructure design—utilities, stormwater systems, detention, and pavement—but also solutions for pedestrian and parking integration, ADA compliance, operational truck circulation, and elevated security measures. These projects highlight DDG’s ability to navigate complex site conditions, regulatory requirements, and operational needs to deliver secure, efficient, and integrated data center environments.
