In response to the Department of Transportation’s call for safety-enhancing proposals that significantly reduce or eliminate roadway fatalities and serious injuries, DDG assisted the City of Youngsville with the grant application for Young Street Intersection Safety Improvements. Our strategy for the proposed project, Young Street Intersection Safety Improvements, employs cost-effective, high-impact solutions designed to enhance safety across a multijurisdictional area, aligning with evidence-based practices. Immediately upon award, the project was added in the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) and the local Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), ensuring alignment with state and regional transportation planning.
The intersection improvements studied herein, were studied and approved for implantation through LADOTD intersection control study and process. We have identified all necessary permits and approvals required for the project and have developed a detailed schedule for acquisition.
