DESCRIPTION:

The Grant Administrator will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of grants, from application to reporting. They will ensure compliance with funding requirements, maintain accurate records, and collaborate with various departments to maximize the impact of grant funding. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of the grant management processes, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

ACTIVITIES + RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of grants, including application, implementation, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all grant requirements and regulations.
  • Coordinate the development of competitive grant proposals for federal, state, and foundational funding sources, including budgeting, narrative preparation, and required documentation.
  • Implement and maintain grant tracking systems, including digital recordkeeping for applications, awards, performance metrics, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of grant activities and expenditures.
  • Manage the grant teams to develop grant proposals and budgets.
  • Monitor grant performance and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
  • Communicate with funding agencies to address questions or concerns.
  • Provide training and support to staff on grant-related processes.
  • Identify new funding opportunities and recommend strategies for securing them.
  • Prepare or review proposals for funding services

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be both creative and analytical.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and accurate.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Proven experience in grant administration or a related role for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Strong understanding of grant compliance and reporting requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to travel to various project sites.
  • Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas.
