DDG was retained to conduct a comprehensive Parish-wide audit of all parks within the Iberville Parish park system. Evaluations determined community needs, safety issues, and accessibility shortfalls with a systematic method of addressing these concerns. A reorganization of the operations and management of the Park system was developed with a recommendation to focus investments to elevate the benchmark of excellence for Parish parks. In response to the report findings and prescribed improvements, a visionary master plan was crafted for Belleview Park’s future. DDG’s landscape architecture team led the renovations of the 16 acre park that includes two new multi-functional synthetic turf fields to serve all athletic sporting events, a restroom/concession building, new picnic shelters, a new synthetic turf sports field, a drop-off area, pedestrian walks, relocation of play equipment and installation of new equipment, wayfinding, and resurfacing of existing tennis courts in the park. DDG’s team will assist with bidding, negotiation, and permitting and once the construction begins, DDG provided construction administration services.
