The Brewer Center is a 38-acre planned unit development (PUD) in west Mobile. While portions of this development were completed prior to 2021, DDG jumped in as the owner’s engineer upon our arrival to Mobile. Our team has designed shared access drives and a common detention pond including installation of subsurface drainage within the City’s right-of-way for Hitt Road. We have also worked with White-Spunner Realty to successfully navigate two re-subdivisions and three amendments to the planned unit development to facilitate additional development of the commercial areas. One of these modifications was made under the City’s new Unified Development Code – one of the first modifications of its kind. DDG is also the engineer of record for ALDI and Tidal Wave Auto Spa which are in the PUD. DDG’s experience here speaks to our ability to learn new jurisdictions, understand the history and context of a legacy project, and assist our clients with moving projects forward to success.
