South Alabama Logistics Park

DDG continues to assist Burton Property Group with the develop a 1,300-acre master-planned industrial park within the city of Mobile, South Alabama Logistics Park (SALP). The project is the result of a 3-year effort between Burton Property Group, the County of Mobile, City of Mobile, Port of Mobile, and the Mobile Area of Chamber of Commerce. The Class A Industrial Warehouse and Distribution Space is aimed to supporting the growing number of Port Users and potential light manufacturers who need to be located in close proximity to the Port of Mobile.

Phase 1 includes development of approximately 500 acres and 6.7 million square feet of buildings. Phase 1 will require approximately 2 million cubic yards of dirt to be cut and moved on-site to balance the site. DDG is assisting with master plan grading for the first phase as well as preparing construction documents for nearly 2 miles of public roadway, SALP Blvd, along with stormwater infrastructure, waterlines and sewer lines. DDG has also provided survey support for phase 1 utilizing drone and traditional surveying. DDG’s water resource team has modeled nearly 9,600 acres to mimic the FEMA Flood Model for Fowl River.
